Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer's 1st card, you must either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager's amount is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino's hand. The bank pony's up money even with your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
