Online poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank's first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call bet's amount is equal to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a figure equal to the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer's hand. The house pays out cash equal to your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
