Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the west in an awesome game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the dealer, unlike almost all other poker games that players bet against other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players don't have to fret about other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their mulla.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers can take their time and scheme without needing to make hasty selections.

It is also easier to play for an extended time with just a small bit of money seeing as, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the house gets seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the casino's.
