Mrs. Duke mightn't have earned her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is one of the most powerful poker players around the live action games at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie's longawaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "cast aside game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "younger crowd" of poker run wild following a huge win at the tables, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her four kids. Annie grew up in New Hampshire into a family of card competitors. If you do not believe that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to participate in the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has captured her cut of hard tables, including knocking out Howard along the way on a couple of occasions. They're both players that have the skill to capture the huge money and do it with a smile.

Mrs. Duke is a strong competitor at any table due to the fact that she is a real poker player, but it's a bit more than simply being skilled at the game. Annie Duke is surprisingly smart and graduated from Columbia U where she took a double major in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from Annie at the poker table you'll see she is there to compete in the game and she starts "summing" you up as soon as you sit down at the game table. If you cannot wager like a camp, then do not waste your time.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie Duke became a consultant to both the UltimateBet poker room and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to hone his techniques and become a power at the tables.

You will likely catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you'll definitely observe her on the television and you may even compete against her in an on-line poker match, but do not count on an easy win. Except of course you are a camp-in-the-making, you'll not beat her. However, it'd be fun to mention you sat at the at the table with "The Duke".
