Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino's 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager's amount is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the showdown. If the house doesn't have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a sum equal to the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino's hand. The bank pays money equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
