Web poker has become globally famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank's 1st card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager's amount is akin to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a figure on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer's hand. The house pays money even with your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
